Crown Court
Private fees based on your Crown Court case
Home » Services » Legal Fees & Funding » Crown Court
For many Crown Court cases, it can be difficult to predict how long any individual case may take as there is no set length and much depends on its severity and complexity. While reasonably straightforward cases may only take a few days, other cases can take many weeks or even months.
We have private fee charges for many legal cases, but these will vary depending on the circumstances. During our initial meeting, we’ll review your case, give you an outline of the costs and how we calculate them, and give you a detailed breakdown of what your estimated total costs are likely to be.
Early Conference with Counsel
Our private fees may increase to include an early conference with Counsel, depending on your case. This is common for Crown Court cases, and we may instruct one or more barristers with specialist experience in certain areas to provide independent advice and support on your case. Fees for early counsel start at £1,495 + VAT and may occur as face-to-face, telephone, or video meetings.
Other fee options
MJR Solicitors always aims to make legal cases as affordable as possible, so we also work on a fixed fee basis to help you budget or even on an hourly basis if needed. Depending on your circumstances, you might even be eligible for Legal Aid to help pay for your case.
See our Fees & Funding page and Legal Aid page for more info or contact us to discuss your options further.
