Legal fees and litigation can be expensive, and having the proper funding for your case can be a significant obstacle to getting access to the legal help you need and the justice you deserve.
MJR Solicitors is committed to helping you overcome that obstacle by offering you transparent and competitive fixed legal fees. These fees allow you to see everything you need to pay upfront, so you can get the personal service you need from us and the best defence from our team of experienced solicitors.
Ultimately, we want to ensure you get the best service and legal defence you can get from us to help you get the desired result. So while our fees are competitive, we’re always open to discussing ways to make payments more manageable for every client, giving you the best option for your situation and your case.
Our various funding options will help you pay for your legal costs, but some may be better suited to different legal proceedings than others, based on your circumstances. Below you’ll see information on our hourly rates and our fixed fee costs, plus information on the legal aid we can offer and a guide to our fees if you can pay privately.
Please remember that not all funding options may be available for every type of case. But we’ll give you all the information you need while ensuring you understand every option to make an informed decision. And, of course, we’re here to help you and answer any questions, so just ask.

Hourly Rates
Paying an hourly rate is common, and you pay your solicitor for the time they spend on your case. We should be able to break this down into steps to give you a rough estimate of how many hours each step is likely to be. This will give you a good idea of your legal costs ahead of your case.

Fixed Fees
Fixed fees are an ideal way to set out how much money you want, or are able, to spend on your legal fees right from the start, so costs don’t spiral out of control. We can outline your fees based on what you need, so you can plan accordingly and budget effectively. Please contact us for more information.
Private Fees
We have private fee charges for many legal cases and a range of circumstances. During our initial meeting, we can outline these and how we calculate them based on your individual case, giving you a detailed breakdown of your estimated total costs.
Crown Court
Fees based on your case with early conferences with Counsel before any Crown Court appearance. Find out more.

Legal Aid
While Legal Aid is available in some limited areas, it isn’t always the best line of defence for your case. We’ll be able to tell you if you can make an application, and if so, we can apply on your behalf. Find out more.
